Mainly exhibits in the University Art Gallery of materials from the Hearst (then Lowie) Museum of Anthropology. Subjects include artifacts of California Indians, of Indians of the Northwest and Alaska, of Indians of the Southwest, of the Andean area, of Africa (from the University of California African Expedition), of Egypt (from the Phoebe Apperson Hearst Collection). Other exhibits include Chinese stone and bronze rubbings, sculpture of Elah Hale Hays and Robert B. Howard, and pottery of Franz and Marguerite Wildenhain.

Marguerite Wildenhain (1896-1985) was a ceramicist and educator in Guerneville, California. Born Marguerite Friedlaender in Lyon, France, Wildenhain received training in sculpture at the Berlin School of Applied Arts. She later worked as a designer for the Royal Berlin Porcelain Factory, leaving in 1919 to apprentice in pottery at the Bauhaus, under Max Krehan and Gerhard Marcks.
